THISTLE BONDING COAT 25KG

Thistle Bonding Coat is a lightweight, pre-mixed gypsum undercoat plaster designed for low-suction or smooth backgrounds such as concrete, dense blocks, and plasterboard. It’s ideal for filling gaps, correcting uneven walls, and creating a strong, keyed base for finishing plasters like Thistle Multi Finish.

Product Features / Specifications

  • Lightweight gypsum-based undercoat plaster
  • Pre-mixed for consistent quality and reliable performance
  • Designed specifically for low-suction and smooth backgrounds
  • Creates a strong mechanical key for finishing coats
  • Easy to apply and control on walls and ceilings
  • Supplied in a durable 25kg bag, suitable for trade and site use

Product Benefits

Thistle Bonding Coat delivers dependable results on surfaces that are traditionally difficult to plaster. Its lightweight formulation reduces fatigue during application while maintaining excellent strength and adhesion. The plaster spreads smoothly, allowing contractors to build up areas efficiently and achieve a flat, even finish ready for top coats. By forming a solid, keyed surface, it helps improve the longevity and appearance of the final finish, reducing the risk of failure over time.

  • Versatility: Suitable for both new, smooth walls and for “making good” old or damaged surfaces.
  • Application: Provides excellent workability for easy spreading.
  • Protection: Offers good fire protection.
