100mm Padstone - 215 x 100 x 440mm

100mm Padstones are load-bearing blocks of precast concrete, stone, or dense bricks designed to distribute the weight from beams and lintels evenly across a wider area of a structure. By spreading concentrated loads, they prevent stress fractures and cracking in the masonry below, ensuring a stable and durable construction.

Product Features/Specifications:

Padstones are an essential component at the ends of lintels supporting walls above structural openings such as doors and windows. Their primary role is to spread the load of the structure above, protecting the masonry beneath from early failure and maintaining the long-term integrity of the building.

Product Benefits:

  • Provides critical support beneath beams, joist ends, and lintels
  • Prevents cracking and stress in masonry by distributing loads evenly
  • Enhances the durability and safety of structural elements
  • Engineered for long-lasting performance in demanding load-bearing applications

Applications and Versatility:

Whether you’re working on new builds, extensions, or refurbishment projects, this padstone is indispensable for ensuring structural stability. Ideal for use beneath steel beams, concrete beams, joist ends, and lintels, its size allows seamless integration with standard block and brickwork. Suitable across residential, commercial, and industrial builds, it provides reliable reinforcement in any structural load path.

Features & Benefits List:

  • Prevents masonry cracking and stress
  • Essential for lintel and beam support
  • Compatible with block and brick construction
