Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing team in Rochdale. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in driving new business while developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.

Operating in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, you will be supported by a knowledgeable and experienced team committed to achieving shared objectives and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Proactively promote and sell company products to both new and existing customers

·       Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the customer base

·       Build, manage, and maintain a strong portfolio of customer accounts

·       Achieve profitable sales targets while maintaining agreed margin levels

·       Analyse market trends and customer needs to maximise sales potential

·       Provide regular and detailed sales reports, including customer requirements, future opportunities, activity, and any issues

·       Represent the business externally in a professional and commercially focused manner

Skills & Experience Required:

·       Proven sales experience within the Timber and Building Materials / Builders’ Merchant sector

·       Strong external sales background with a demonstrable track record of success

·       Highly self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve and exceed targets

·       Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

·       Strong time management and organisational abilities

·       Full UK driving licence (essential)
