Cheshire Pre-War Dual Faced Brick

Introductory Statement

The Cheshire Pre-War Brick is a solid, wire-cut facing brick
manufactured to replicate the authentic look and character of traditional
pre-war masonry. Compatible with both new build and restoration projects, it
offers a timeless aesthetic with modern performance standards.

In the Weathered Dual Faced brick, one face and header are
produced as a clean finish and the other faces include tonal weathering and
banding, enabling on-site blending

Product Benefits

  • The
slight colour variation replicates bricks historically found in Victorian and
interwar buildings, offering a great match for restoration work

  • As this
product is the dual faced version of a pre-war brick it allows you to show
either the weathered face, clean face or you can blend/mix to suit design

  • Due
to the compressive strength and frost resistance, the cheshire prewar
    preforms reliably in structural masonry

  • The 75mm
finish size, makes the alignment with lintels and blockwork easier

  • Cheshire
Prewar are resistant to environmental degradation due to its low water
    consumption

  • The
variation in colours and having a weathered face as an option help with
blending brickwork or matching to an existing masonry

Applications & Versatility

  • Ideal
for repairs or extensions to prewar and Victorian buildings where it is
important to match to the original masonry

  • Used
in new homes that are built with classic brick aesthetic

  • Great
for exposed brickwork (chimneys, feature walls) where the texture and
    colour add visual effect

  • Use
the dual-faced version to alternate clean and weathered faces for aging
    effect over time.

Versatility is enhanced by the option to choose between
plain and weathered faces

Additional Information & Practical Notes

  • As
these are a natural product it is recommended to mix brick from different packs
to reduce colour banding as some colour variation occurs between packs

  • Take
care with handling to avoid chipping

  • Use
a pointing style that matches with the look/period of the brick
